Sahara desert Of Morocco/ Visit Morocco
Erg Chebbi – Merzouga dunes

The Magic is always related to this beautiful environment and silence of The Sahara desert, as most of us believe the Sahara can set you free. One of the unique places to visit when you are in Morocco is definitely the Sahara desert, either Erg Chebbi dunes that are easier to reach or Erg Chegaga at the end of Draa valley. Both destinations are the most famous dunes to discover and spend a night. There are several luxury camps that offer great services once you decide to take a tour of 3-4 days from Marrakech or Fes.

Visiting the Sahara desert in Morocco will also be a discovery in the south, valleys, Gorges, and Kasbahs are worth to see. Once you are in the Sahara desert there are opportunities to experience camel riding or quad-biking if you love this kind of adventure as we do.

3- Atlas mountains / Ait Bougmez valley as an example

Ait Bougmez Valley

Situated 78km from Azilal, It’s also known as the happy valley, an amazing landscape merged with Berber authentic homes all long, know as a departure for different trekking trips to Mgoun or Zaouit Ahnasal. However, it’s one of the only places where you can see the dinosaur footprint, a pure Berber culture, and hospitality with the beautiful landscape all around. The best time to visit is from May and September unless you are generally fine with cold/snow days, then anytime would be perfect to visit this unique valley in the Atlas mountain central.

However we have chosen the Ait Bougmez valley, there are several valleys that worth discovering in the Atlas mountains depending on your desire and the departure, Imilchil with the beautiful lakes of Tislit and Isli, is also one of our favorite and highlight of the Atlas mountains.

4- Essaouira

ESSAOUIRA

Also known as Mogador, a lead back beach town in the west of Marrakech. The city recently attracts many surfers and art lovers from over the world. Whatever the season of the year, Essaouira could be warm during the day and windy fresh during the nighttime.

The festival of Gnaoua became one of the best festivals in Morocco that the city hosts every year, this amazing event is a meeting point for world music, with over 500,000 visitors a year.

Chefchaouen is situated less than 120km from Tangier in northern Morocco, the city is the most iconic site in Morocco, also called the blue city as it’s mostly painted in blue. For every photographer Chefchaouen is heaven!. Once you are in the Medina, You shouldn’t miss its main square Outa El Hammam, and the Kasbah just in front, with a cape of tea in one of its terraces, it’s always a great way to get closer to the Moroccan culture!

Chefchaouen is home to local goat cheese and a typical Soup called “EL-Bayser” make sure to try it in any restaurant you choose. We do recommend Bab Assour restaurant for its charming terraces and different meals.

The best way to reach Chefchaouen is either with an organized tour from Tangier or Fes. However, you also can easily find public transport ( Taxi or a bus in both cities ).

6- Fes Medina

Conceder as the city with the biggest Medina, Fes daily offers guided tours in this fascinating old Moroccan housing style and has many highlights and sites to visit. Fes El Bali is known as a historic, radiant, and colorful city.
